The "small breakfast" at Cherry Beans. The "small breakfast" at Cherry Beans.

We all need a great place to brunch

By Kim Wilkinson

EVERYONE needs a great place to brunch. You know, those lazy late breakfasts that can last long enough to fit in at least a couple of coffees and maybe even two courses.

Cherry Beans at Rouse Hill Town Centre is one of my favourite local brunch locations.

Not only is their coffee some of the best in the west, but they have an extensive breakfast menu that offers great choice and value. You will want to start with a coffee.  As part of a franchise whose origins are from the city and inner west, Cherry Beans definitely comes with coffee credentials.

I’m such a fan of their coffee that even if we don’t have time to eat; my family know that I really can’t leave Rouse Hill Town Centre without grabbing at least a Cherry Beans coffee before we go.

For the non coffee drinkers Cherry Beans’ fresh made juices are exactly that and come in a range of sizes and combinations to suit every taste requirement.

Next you’ll need to decide whether you’re feeling like sweet or savoury for brunch. Your sweet tooth will be more than satisfied by the French Toast with Maple Syrup and Raspberry Coulis, but if you’re like me, you’ll want to add some bacon on the side for that salty sweet deliciousness.

For those preferring something more savoury, the Small Breakfast of two eggs, bacon, tomato and hash brown is anything but small!

The friendly staff will cook the eggs exactly how you like them and also do very well at accommodating requests for bacon being extra crispy.

The Big Breakfast adds mushrooms, baked beans, sausages and asparagus to the meal – so you will definitely need to bring a large appetite for this one.

With most brunch menu items coming in under $15, you’re sure to find a great value brunch that will satisfy any craving. The extensive lunch menu is equally well priced, generous in size and tastes amazing. Worthy of a separate review, so stay tuned for more details!

The atmosphere inside is pleasant and unhampered; while outside you can enjoy the fresh air and sunshine as you watch the shoppers and cars go by.

The combination of excellent coffee, tasty food, great value and inviting atmosphere is what makes Cherry Beans a popular choice for me and my family.
