WINTERLIGHT RETURNS TO PARRAMATTA

Unlimited ice skating, carnival rides
SYDNEY’S biggest winter festival, Winterlight, will return to Parramatta for 17 days of magic from July 5-21.
The festival, now in its ninth year, will transform Prince Alfred Square into an idyllic winter wonderland, with an open-air ice-skating rink, illuminated Ferris wheel, carnival rides, night markets, cabaret shows, live music, delicious food, interactive workshops, themed nights, and more.

Kicking off at 5pm on Friday, July 5 the opening night will feature an unlimited ice-skating and carnival rides deal for just $35 per person, plus a dazzling Ice Queen stilt walking display.

Everyone is encouraged to put their skating skills to the test on the 7NEWS Ice Rink - the largest outdoor ice rink in Sydney. Special kids-only sessions will run at the beginning of each day, with ‘Kanga’ skate aids available for those who need a hand.

Winterlight’s popular Theme Nights will make a return this year, running every Thursday. Dedicate a love song to your ice-skating partner on Date Night on Thursday , July 11, or cover yourself in glow-in-the-dark paint for Neon Night on Thursday, July 18.

Payce Light-Up St Pat’s is also making a comeback, illuminating St Patrick’s Cathedral with colourful projections from Saturday 6 to Sunday, July 21.

For the first time ever, Parramatta Night Markets will run from Monday 8 to Thursday July 11, from 5pm to 9pm, featuring artisan products from Parramatta and beyond.

Ultra-decadent make-your-own Gelato Messina sundaes will be up for grabs, as well as delicious food from Alpine Food Village stalls including Blackbear BBQ, Zahara Grill and Waffle Pops.

Don’t miss out on the incredible savings. Head to Winterlight on Tuesdays between 11am – 5pm for two-for-one value deals on all carnival rides, food offerings and ice-skating.
