What do women want? Expo has the answers

AN exciting expo for women, the first of its kind in NSW, will be held at Penrith in March.

Two years in the making, The What Women Want Expo (WWWE) will bring together more than 100 handpicked exhibitors representing some of Sydney’s best leading companies, exclusive boutiques and exquisite brands when it premieres at the Penrith Panthers Pavilion on March 29 and 30.

If it is shopping that you are after, personal development, or perhaps just a bit of down time from the kids, then this fun-filled expo offers the lot and much more.

Taking place from 10am to 5pm daily, expo-goers will be treated to an array of live product demonstrations and innovative coaching sessions. The Engine Number 9’s steamy topless fireman will also perform.

Or if you feel like something more relaxed, why not indulge in the Mani & Mocktail Bar, on the house, compliments of the team at The What Women Want HQ.

Stain removal queen, Shannon Lush will also be on hand on Saturday to share her collection of juicy hints and tips for simplifying all those dreaded domestic chores. Sydney’s famous plastic surgeon, Dr Tim Papadopoulos, has your aesthetic concerns covered for the weekend.

Tickets for the highly-anticipated event are just $15 at the door or $13.50 if you pre-purchase online.  The WWWE will donate 30 per cent of all ticket sales to the National BreastCancer Foundation to assist breast cancer research.

Just by purchasing a ticket, every expo-goer will receive a free underarm laser treatment voucher valued at $29 and go into the draw to win a $5,000 pamper pack for her and five friends.

Stephanie Gittany, expo founder and director of Penrith-based Black Pearl Events, said participants are guaranteed to walk away feeling educated, beautiful and empowered.

“No matter what your interests or tastes, we’ve got it all under one roof,” she said.

“If you’ve been balancing a busy life then it’s time to grab your girlfriends and enjoy free manicures and mocktails, facials, exciting makeovers and high fashion runway shows.”

The expo is not a one-dimensional event: with many exhibitors dedicated to personal growth, female discovery and empowerment.

“In today’s busy society many women overlook their own needs and aspirations,” Stephanie said.

“Now women have many roles that they feel they need to take on at home, work and in the community, however, in the midst of all the responsibilities, it seems most women have forgotten the importance of honouring herself.

“By offering an assortment of over 115 unique brands all under one roof, as well as providing an educational platform for women from all walks of life to help them nourish their mind, body and soul, each woman can choose to indulge in all the things that allows her inner self to shine.”

And while the jam-packed expo is undeniably skewed towards the whims and wants of women, it by no means excludes men from the equation, Stephanie said.

“The underlying question on every man’s mind is what do women want, so the expo offers the perfect chance for them to come along and find out!”
