FREE CHRISTMAS RECYCLING SERVICES

Unburden your waste

HAWKESBURY City Council will again give ratepayers extra recycling services between Monday, December 26 2017 and Monday, January 30 2017 as a special way to motivate residents to continue their good recycling efforts over the holiday period.

Hawkesbury Mayor of Hawkesbury, Mary Lyons-Buckett hopes this will be a way to help residents unburden their waste in a positive way through recycling.

“Any households that struggle with the extra paper, boxes and bottles over the Christmas and New Year will appreciate these extra recycling services,” the Mayor said.

A weekly yellow lidded bin recycling collection service will be provided to eligible properties that currently receive a domestic waste service.

The service will occur on scheduled garbage collection days including public holidays. Place your yellow lidded recycling bin out for collection every week on your scheduled garbage bin collection day (red or black lid) to take advantage of this free service.

There are no changes to the garbage and garden organics collection services. Normal services will be provided including collections scheduled on public holidays, even on Christmas Day.

For information call Council’s Customer Service team on (02) 4560 4444.
