Blacktown Showground redevelopment

BLACKTOWN City Council is on track to complete the first stage of the Blacktown Showground Redevelopment in 2012. This exciting project will transform this area into a cultural, recreational and entertainment precinct for Blacktown City and Western Sydney.

The stage one redevelopment represents a $16 million investment by Council, and involves the construction of car parks, playground areas, a water recreation facility and open space embellishment, as well as significant earth works to prepare the site for impending further development.

The redevelopment of the showground is part of a longer term vision to construct an art and cultural exhibition centre within the Showground precinct.
