THE Chifley Community Media Project (CCMP)

The Chifley Community Media Project (CCMP) is a dynamic student-led media initiative that showcases the voices, creativity and achievements of young people across Western Sydney. It is produced quarterly as both a printed and digital newspaper and distributed throughout the Blacktown region. Above all the project provides students with a real-world platform to share stories that matter to their peers, their schools and local communities. Developed in partnership with the Western Sydney Chifley Schools Network and Blacktown News - the region’s leading local media outlet - the CCMP provides students with a valuable hands-on experience in journalism, storytelling, photography and media production. Every article, feature and contribution is created by students from across the Chifley Schools Network, with content refined to professional editorial and design standards before publication. The project not only celebrates student talent and local achievements, but also builds confidence, communication skills and industry awareness among the next generation of media creators. The CCMP reflects the diversity, energy and future potential of Western Sydney's young people, while strengthening connections between schools, families and the wider community.
