THERE were an estimated 161,260 actively trading businesses in Greater Western Sydney (GWS) as at June 2011, accounting for more than a third of the businesses in the Sydney Metropolitan Region.

HILLS Shire Council plans to construct 47km worth of footpaths throughout the shire after Council allocated $8,075,550 to the project in The Hills Shire Plan adopted on Tuesday evening.

FOLLOWING the Sydney Hills Business Chamber’s ongoing quest to have the Government’s National Broadband Network rollout include the Norwest Business Park and growing Hills region, Malcolm Turnbull met with the Chamber and local businesses recently to launch the Coalition Nationwide Broadband Survey.


THE Sydney Hills has a labour force of almost 100,000, according to a report by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations released recently.
