More success for Penrith's pocket-rocket, Gina

A WOMAN known as a “pocket rocket” in the Penrith business community has been named the 2017 Business Woman of the Year.
 
Gina Field started a home-based security venture from scratch in 1998 and has grown the enterprise, National Regional Security, into an award-winning business.
 
In the past 19 years, the business has picked a score or more industry awards including the bronze award in the International Business Awards.
 
“This level of achievement has only been reached by a handful of Australian companies,” according to the NSW government citation announcing the award. 
 
Judged across 60 nations in the world and out of over 4500 nomination, Ms Field came third in the world in her category of Executive of the Year 2014. 
 
Ms Field gives back to the community through sponsorship of community events, speaking at schools to encourage women to venture into male dominated employment fields, and presenting security awareness to residents of new housing estates. 
 
Ms Field, who is president of the Penrith Valley Chamber of Commerce, is regarded as champion for women chasing their dreams, considered a “pocket rocket” in the business community and is a champion for women chasing their dreams.
 
Ms Field has featured in a TV business show, on radio and in magazines and newspapers.
